FAQS ABOUT HA FILLERS

What is the Hyaluron Pen?

I use a FDA Approved Off-Label Use: A Hyaluron Pen to do anti-aging infusion enhancement treatment procedures to Plump Lips, Cheeks and reduce the depth of Lines and Wrinkles. The needle-free Hyaluronic Filler Pen infusion enhancement treatment procedure is an affordable pain-free option. Filler with the needle can be very painful. There is bleeding and bruising involved not to mention the trauma to the skin from the needle can actually cause scar tissue!

The application method of the Hyaluronic filler pen infusion enhancement treatment procedure is pressure. The Hyaluron pen uses pressure to deliver hyaluronic acid into the skin. The ingredients rejuvenate and lift the skin, providing hydration and stimulating collagen production, leaving lips plump and lines and wrinkles filled in.

The Hyaluron Pen needle-free infusion enhancement treatment procedure can be used to create volume, shape and lift. The FDA-Approved Off-label use of the Hyaluron Pen is a needle-free device that has a special piston with a spring that creates a high-pressure jet to uniformly and quickly flow fillers* through the skin. The diameter of this microscopic flow is 0.17 mm, twice as small as the smallest insulin needle. The process is much more comfortable than a needle injection and with very little down time since there is minimal to no bruising. The pen is similar to other needle-less and jet injection systems that are sometimes used to deliver vaccines and other medications.

The Hyaluron filler treatment procedure re-hydrates the skin. There is little or no pain, clients describe the sensation as ‘light pressure’ and there is little to no recovery time.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within the 24-hours you will be charged $50 per treatment cancelled. We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 24-hours before the beginning of your appointment or you will be charged a cancellation fee of $100.

How long will my appointment last?

Most enhancement infusion treatment procedures take between 30-120 minutes in our office or at your home.

Am I too young to get HA infusions?

Definitely not! People of all ages love HA infusions, with many beginning preventative treatments in their 20’s and 30’s. But as per our policy, no one under the age of 21 can get HA infusions from Nightly Opulence Beauty.

Does it hurt to get HA fillers?

Most clients report minimal discomfort, especially when compared to traditional needle injections. You will hear a snapping and clicking sound and you will feel pressure at the moment of the pressurization. We do offer a numbing cream (available at an additional cost) if you prefer not to feel anything.

How many ampoules or vials or CC units will I need?

The amount of product you will need depends on the look you are going for, facial structure and muscle strength. You will be able to discuss this at length with your provider at the time of your Beauty Wellness consultation.

How long does this type of treatment last?

It will last just as long as traditional filler once you complete the recommended course, which is usually two to three treatments. The results can last from 4-12 weeks, however a clients’ lifestyle will have a huge factor in the longevity of this natural product. In areas that experience a lot of movement due to eating, talking, and smiling, the product may not last as long as other less active areas.

Are fillers reversible?

Absolutely! We know you will love your result, but even if you don’t, they are completely temporary and reversible.

Do fillers hurt?

You will feel a little prick and pressure like you would a regular shot, but the discomfort won’t last long… especially if you choose to get numbing cream, which is available at an additional cost.

How can I avoid bruising?

Try not to take any blood thinners for a full week before getting the enhancement treatment procedure. That means no anticoagulants like aspirin and ibuprofen, multivitamins, alcohol and yes, even caffeine. You also want to be cautious for a few days after the procedure. We will provide you with before and after care instructions.

What is the Hyaluron Pen infusion enhancement treatment procedure process?

With time, the body decreases its hyaluronic acid production and as a result, the skin begins to thin and it also begins to sag. There are now several solutions including hyaluronic acid infusion enhancements; to plump up the specific areas. This treatment involves hyaluronic acid filler without the use of needles or injections. The enhancement treatment process involves the use of a Hyaluron Pen to deliver hyaluronic acid into the areas restoring some of its plump and youthfulness.

What is recovery time?

No recovery time is required, and clients can return to work, and carry out normal activities immediately (except smoking for at least 10  hours) after, unlike traditional fillers administered by traditional techniques. You are less likely to bruise but it can happen, there may be some slight swelling and soreness that only lasts for a few hours and sometimes up to 48 hours.

What is the Hyaluron Pen?

The Hyaluron Pen is a rather simplistic device that allows generating enough pressure to launch the Hyaluronic Acid mixture into the skin. However, by no means, is it a miracle solution that will turn lips of any sort into lush and beautiful or remove all the wrinkles. It is just a device of transferring liquid that is pretty vital when it comes to anti-aging and beauty into the skin. It infuses Hyaluronic Acid into the skin to add definition, plumping skin, reducing wrinkles and adds volume to the skin.

What is the Hyaluron Pen and what areas can it treat?

The Hyaluron Pen deposits hyaluronic acid filler into the epidermal and upper dermal layers of the skin without the use of traditional needles or injections. This treatment is ideal for plumping lips, filling nasal labial lines, marionette lines, and more! The Hyaluron Pen uses pressure, which causes the hyaluronic acid to turn into nano scale molecules and inserts the hyaluronic acid filler through the skin. (The diameter of hyaluronic acid flow is only 0.17 mm – two times smaller than the smallest insulin needle!) The hyaluronic acid only reaches the papillary layer of the dermis, rendering this a safe enhancement treatment, having no risk of occlusion as well as no sharp tips to puncture blood vessels. There is virtually no downtime for this procedure, and it is safe, effective, and nearly painless.

What is post treatment care?

Everyone heals and retains the HA differently. The process of healing is different and is based on many factors. There will be swelling and some bruising. We will provide pre and post procedure treatment care instructions.

Is it like Botox?

No, it is absolutely not like Botox. First of all, Botox is not a filler and it is never injected into lips (however, sometimes some clients truly believe that it is). As one should know Botox just temporarily cuts off the nerve signals to some muscles and thus limits the movements of them, achieving smoother skin as the wrinkles are now deepened by muscle movement. When it comes to the Hyaluron Pen, it delivers very low viscosity, low elasticity filler into lips or facial skin.

Two totally different tools that can sometimes solve the same problem. Is one better than the other? Well, not necessarily. As we all just know, injecting Botox can be a way more dangerous, if the person is not an absolute professional who has enough medical and aesthetic beauty intervention background.

Why is 1 CC the maximum amount of filler in a single treatment area?

You can come in and do 5 or more CCs in a single session but we will only do 1 cc in a single area. More than 1 cc in any treatment area in a single session can result in drastic swelling. If you want more volume, then a follow-up session 2 weeks later is recommended. Fullness in any treatment area is built up over time. What is more, results are cumulative. With each treatment (as long as there is still filler in your treatment area), your results will last longer and longer.

What happens to our own Hyaluronic Acid?

Over the course of the years the body produces less Hyaluronic Acid and skin becomes more dry. Dryness, along with changes in bone structure and facial tissue, results in deepening wrinkles. The hyaluronic acid molecule is a pretty tough fighter and can maintain structure, but its ability to be able to retain water decreases over time.

What happens when you add Hyaluronic Acid to the skin?

The body’s hyaluronic acid has a pretty short lifespan (around 2-4 days). Filler molecules can create more connections to other molecules, slowing down enzymatic degradation. Basically, it just takes more time, and allows the Hyaluronic Acid infused to retain the water inside the skin.

What are the possible side effects of the HA filler?

Side effects are mild or moderate and usually last less than 7 days. The persistence of these symptoms for up to two weeks is usually nothing to worry about. The most common side effects are temporary injection site reactions, such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. Other rare risks include, but are not limited to:

  • Overcorrection / under correction & facial asymmetry

  • Unpredictable persistence of filler, either shorter or longer than expected.

  • Prolonged discoloration of the skin

  • Prolonged or severe swelling

  • Reactivation of cold sores

  • Infection

  • Scarring

  • Allergic or anaphylactic reaction
